Abstract
This paper presents the actions and activities developed within “Moldova” National Museum Complex of Iași, Romania, in the field of cultural mediation. This concept, newly inscribed in the institution’s strategy, is still seeking its definitions and trying to adapt to the particularities of the museum institution, one of the largest in Romania. The article points to issues related to the acceptance of this concept on the Romanian museum scene, to issues related to human resources and training of mediators, to issues of accessibility and disability in museums. It also presents the different actions that have been implemented in the institution in the field of mediation, a good part of them thanks to the financing mechanisms of European programs, projects, such as Erasmus+.
