ABSTRACT
The paper shortly presents the activity of folklorist Grigore Bostan of Cernauti; the main source of information was the volume issued in Iasi, in 1998, entitled Poezia populară românească în spaţiu carpato-nistrean. In a way, the main features characterizing folklorist of Cernauti can be found in this volume based on a wide bibliography and a thorough field research. Therefore, man and masterpiece harmoniously complete.
