Abstract
The paper describes the most important moments in the life and publishing activity of Artur Gorovei. On the basis of the opinion expressed several decades ago by ethnologist Ion Chelcea, there are presented the works of the scholar from Fălticeni which will for ever remain in the history of the Romanian folklore studies. The circumstances in which on 17 March 2011, at the Museum of the Union in Iaşi, took place the Homage Symposium „Artur Gorovei. 60 Years Since Death” are also shortly evoked.
