Abstract
The main objective of this paper is the statistical analysis of data collected from cultural organizations in Romania – museums and public collections after 1990. This analysis is performed using statistical tools that can be used to highlight certain characteristics and trends in the museum sector in Romania. In order to obtain results in accordance with the objective of the study, the paper focuses on two main components: a qualitative analysis and a quantitative analysis of data about museums. The obtained results compose a radiography of the cultural field, more precisely of the situation at national level of the museums and collections in Romania starting with 1990 until today.
