Abstract
The paper provides a synthetic description of the event ”Japan Far and Close to Bacău”, which has reached in 2023 its 6th edition. The activities undertaken with the occasion throughout the years are meant to bring this faraway territory and its culture as close as possible to the Romanian public, by means of an entire palette of activities which includes photo-haiku exhibitions, haiku poetry, creative writing workshops, dances, theater representations, tea ceremony, ikebana, origami, garden architecture or gastronomy.
