Abstract
The article presents the Early Hallstatt material discovered during 2015 and 2017 archaeological excavations at the Isaiia – Balta Popii site (Răducăneni com, Iași County). The paper describes a feature that through its inventory can be considered as a waste pit. Thus, the materials from its filling consist of animal bones, various fragments of clay, ceramic sherds from vessels of various dimensions and various types of paste, most of them typical for the Corlăteni-Chișinău culture and a fragment from a bone object. In addition to these materials found in the pit, a bronze pin was discovered in the cultural layer. The new discoveries come as a completion to the vestiges of the first Iron Age Era investigated in the previous years, which consisted of a buried house, a bracelet fragment, a child’s tomb and various typical bronze objects.
