ABSTRACT
On the 31st of August 2019, a passionate lover of history, had a chance to randomly discover an important monetary gold treasure, in Bacău county. According to the law in force, the monetary gold treasure has been deposited at the History Museum in Bacău. Immediatley, the gold coins were submitted to the standard procedure of analysis, research and evaluation, in advance of their entry into the museum patrimony.
The monetary treasure consists of 234 gold coins: a coin of the British Empire (United Kingdom), ten coins of the Russian Empire, 32 coins of the Ottoman Empire and 191 coins of the Austrian Empire respectively Austro-Hungarian Empire.
