ABSTRACT
The article will focus on the kinship of the Christening relationships (Godfather–Godchild relationship) in the traditional society of Moldavia in the XVIIth century – beginning of the XIXth century, highlighting the terms that define this kind of kinship: godfather, godmother, godchild; as well as the rights and the obligations of godparents and godchildren.
